Overview: The International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM) is a nonprofit product development partnership working to prevent HIV by developing microbicides for use by women in developing countries. Microbicides are biomedical products women could use easily and discreetly to prevent sexual transmission of HIV. Our products are based on the same types of antiretroviral drugs being used for treatment, with proof-of-concept now established. IPM is developing several formulations to ensure broad usage. IPM's research is coordinated globally with public, private, and nonprofit partners. New investors are needed to support our Phase III program testing a novel ARV-based monthly vaginal microbicide ring.
