Overview: The Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) is a public/private, not-for-profit organization established to facilitate the translation and commercialization of academic discoveries in the medical sciences. CDRD has built a drug development platform that enables the advancement of potential therapeutics by conducting proof of concept studies having set up state-of-the-art laboratories from target validation through medicinal chemistry to ADME/Toxicology. CDRD's team of drug development professionals works with academic institutions, foundations, governments, and industry to bridge the commercialization gap between early stage ideas and private sector investment. CDRD is currently working with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada to support their efforts to get to cure faster.
