Overview:
Tolerx, Inc., a biotechnology company, and the Cancer Vaccine Acceleration Fund (CVAF), a new venture philanthropy program established by the Cancer Research Institute to support development of promising new cancer immunotherapies, have established a collaboration to support development of Tolerx’s drug candidate, TRX518, a monoclonal antibody designed to enhance the immune system’s attack on cancer cells. CVAF will provide $1.5 million to support Tolerx’s clinical development of TRX518 and access to its scientific and clinical trial management resources. CVAF is eligible to receive a milestone payment from Tolerx if TRX518 obtains FDA approval.
