Session 11: Deal-Makers and Deal-Breakers: What to Ask Before Investing Back to the Agenda |
Wednesday, December 15, 2010
11:45 am - 12:40 pm
In order to generate the greatest return for their investment dollars, there are a core set of questions every investor should seek to have answered before writing a check. Scientists are often better off measuring what other researchers have done and tried before trying to create their own models, and the same can be said for investors. Intelligence gathering is an art too often underutilized, and one that can benefit both investors and the research organizations seeking their support. This panel will explore the merits of a strong operational framework, sound technical and business knowledge, collaborative intellectual property and data sharing structures, experience in producing new therapies, and other key attributes that indicate a positive opportunity for return. |
