The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Network (PCORnet) is a national research endeavor that will advance innovation in research by harnessing the vast wealth of personal health data generated by both patients and healthcare systems. It is an unprecedented effort that will redefine how health research is done in this country, and it holds tremendous promise for patients and the broader healthcare community. PCORI has established a framework to provide guidance and monitor patient engagement as well as to help identify promising practices for meaningful patient engagement in PCORnet for infrastructure development.
