Fredric Pashkow
Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Cardax Pharmaceuticals
Fredric Pashkow is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Cardax Pharmaceuticals. He has primary responsibility for the clinical development of Cardax Pharma's NCE lead candidate, CDX-085, which shows promise for dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome and hepatitis, and has won received an SBIR grant from the NIH for
further development. Cardax is also developing novel drugs for AMD, prostate cancer and neurodegenerative disease. Pashkow is former vice president for the Cardiovascular-Thrombosis Group, U.S. Medical Affairs, at Sanofi-Aventis, where he was responsible for vascular biology, cardiovascular thrombosis/anti-platelet, hypertension
and atrial fibrillation therapeutics. A former academic cardiologist and thought leader, he achieved national recognition while at the Cleveland Clinic on issues of gender and preventive cardiology/rehabilitation. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and four books. In addition to his role with Cardax, he consults with major pharmaceutical companies regarding clinical trial design and business development.
