Robert H. Shelton
Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO, Private Access


Drawing upon his varied experiences heading a non-profit disease advocacy group and in health care information systems, as an inventor, serial entrepreneur and developer, Robert H. Shelton co-founded Private Access in late 2006 with a unique vision for how to better protect consumers’ privacy and simultaneously speed medical researchers’ ability to find cures for disease.

In addition to Private Access, Robert serves as Chairman of KS&A, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit group serving several genetics-based conditions.  He is also a founding principal of Allcare Health Management Systems, where he negotiated over 30 licenses with prominent firms in the healthcare industry.  Previously, Robert co-founded Out-Takes, Inc. an early digital photography company, and served as the executive in charge of land acquisition and entitlements for several large developments involving public/private partnerships with municipal partners.

Robert holds an undergraduate degree in Public and International Affairs from George Washington University, and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.  Robert was awarded his first US patent in 1983, and currently holds three issued patents and several pending patent applications for which he is the sole inventor.
