The Multiple Sclerosis Outcome Assessments Consortium (MSOAC) is a partnership among academia, industry, regulators, advocacy groups, and persons living with MS. Administered by the Critical Path Institute, the mission of the MSOAC is to accelerate MS drug development through the creation and regulatory validation of a new measure of disability for use as a primary endpoint in registration trials. To achieve this goal, MSOAC is collecting, standardizing, and analyzing placebo and treatment arm data from MS registration trials and other studies. These datasets are being analyzed to identify clinically meaningful performance measures and combine these into a psychometrically sound composite.
