Jedd Wolchok is chief of the melanoma and immunotherapeutics service and Lloyd J. Old and Virginia and Daniel K. Ludwig Chair for Clinical Investigation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Recently named associate chair of medicine, he heads the Swim Across America Laboratory, is associate director of the Ludwig Center for Cancer Immunotherapy, and leads the Immune Monitoring Facility. In addition, Wolchok is director of the Cancer Vaccine Collaborative. He was instrumental in the clinical development leading to the approval of ipilimumab for advanced melanoma. Among his honors are the Damon Runyon-Lilly Clinical Investigator Award, Julia Zelmanovich Young Alumni Award from the New York University School of Medicine, humanitarian award from the Melanoma Research Foundation, and Doctor of the Year from the Melanoma International Foundation.
