BREAKOUT SESSION: Putting Patients at the Center of the Value Conversation
Value in health care can mean different things to different stakeholders. Payer priorities may not match up with those of manufacturers, and both may assess value entirely differently than public health entities. However, no matter which of these stakeholders is measuring value, it’s important that value assessments always robustly consider what matters most to the ultimate consumers of health care: patients. Are patient perspectives beginning to drive payment models for health-care products and services? Can we increase the focus on patient-centered outcomes and patient preferences in clinical trials and post-market studies?
