Kathy L. Hudson, Ph.D., is the founding CEO of the Patient-Centered Research Foundation (PCRF), a non-profit organization focused on doing clinical research more effectively, efficiently, and ethically to deliver important outcomes for patients and families. PCRF is partnering with the PCORnet national clinical research network to transform clinical research. Hudson is the former Deputy Director for Science, Outreach, and Policy at the NIH where she led the development of major policies to enable science to advance more rapidly. She also was a key architect of numerous innovative projects and partnerships including the Accelerating Medicines Partnership, the BRAIN Initiative, the NIH Precision Medicine Initiative, and the Cancer Moonshot. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of California at Berkeley, an M.S. in Microbiology from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Biology from Carleton College.
